Summary

Inside Carolina's Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley to discuss how North Carolina can carry forward the big rivalry win over Duke. With a trip to Miami ahead on Tuesday night, and a tougher ACC slate in the coming weeks, Hubert Davis's team has set themselves up for potential success with consistent performances from here on out. Barnes discusses the metrics aspect of the UNC path and ultimately how getting the win on Saturday impacts not only Coach Davis's tenure in Chapel Hill, but Seth Trimble's legacy and the feeling around the trajectory of the program. **Call to Action:**   **Subscribe:** Follow 'Inside Carolina' wherever you get your podcasts to never miss an episode!   **Review:** Leave us a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify to help us reach more Tar Heel fans!   **Visit:** Explore http://www.InsideCarolina.com for breaking news, recruiting updates, and expert commentary on all things UNC sports. 0:54.5

game Saturday, where if you lose that game, you're really behind the eight ball, not only in the

1:00.9

ACC conference standing race, but you're behind the eight ball in the double by race for the

1:07.6

ACC tournament. And then you're, because of that, you would be in trouble in terms of seeding,

1:14.8

just being further down the list than you would like to be.

1:18.3

But by winning that game and winning in dramatic fashion, North Carolina has really

1:24.1

kind of made up for that West Coast swing.

1:28.1

And I think that's very beneficial.

1:30.1

You know, if you look at Carolina's losses, Louisville, well, let's say they play them coming up.

1:36.1

SMU is five and five in the conference, Cal's five and six, Stanford's four and seven.

1:42.0

So that's not what you would be looking for as you're trying to make

1:46.5

a push for the ACC Reggers season championship. But because you're able to hand Duke its first
