Third children's book.

Third children's book, really?

And what prompted this, obviously representation and cultural representation and everything that, you know, I guess what, especially with the climate of today making sure that people who are observing and where he job have representation in

children's books for sure, right?

Yeah, when I was a kid, I didn't see myself represented in the books that I read and Asram where a memoir came out in 2018.

I knew I want to go into children's literature and I wanted to tell the story of

hijab from the perspective of a Muslim kid. You know, for us it's not something that we see in a negative way.

And so I wanted kids who look like me to see themselves, you know, in the pages of children's literature.

And so the first one was the

proudest blue it did really well as New York Times bestseller and now we have the

trilogy so as proudest blue kindness red boldest white and it's been a great

experience children's book touring is so much more fun than

pouring with a bunch of you know adults. They ask the craziest questions but I think with kids

you know there's so much imagination and an honesty and they're just they don't have the same

hang-ups that we have as adults you know do you now with the with everything going on in the world especially the Middle East right now
