Hello and welcome to the latest podcast from the Blood Red channel with myself Matt Addison.

The under 21 European Championships begin again on Monday.

It's the knockout stages now with the groups having been played in the last international

break and we're going to have a look through all of the big contenders

assessing which players you should be watching out for and which ones could be

of interest to Michael Edwards and Liverpool as possible transfer targets.

Alongside me to do just that is Leeds

Leeds United reporter Joe Donohue who's been on the podcast a couple of

times in the past. Joe you also write for scouted football a website that looks

into giving people the low down really on the next generation of talent coming through.

And I suppose then the under 21 euros must be an ideal opportunity for yourself to do a bit of scouting.

Yeah, it's kind of our bread and butter essentially.

Everybody's getting excited about the euros this summer, but it's the under 21 euros that I've kind of

been keeping an eye on as well because there was the group stage which took place at the end of March and then the knockout round is now taking place in the next week or so. So it's yeah it's a good opportunity to sort of to get the jump on quite a few players who obviously will be playing international football for their countries in the year in the years to come and and potentially some in the months to come as there'll be

there be some crossover from the squads who are at the under 21 euros in the group

stage he'll now be making the the senior squads at this summer's euros.

Yeah, as I said, we're going to go through pretty much all of the teams. We're going to pick out a few different players from each of them.
