Good afternoon. Today is Wednesday, November 12th, and I'm your host Kim Kahn. Our top story so far,

the darkness will echo with the terrified cries of complex problems as they come face to face with

Quantum Nighthawk. Today, IBM unveiled its newest quantum processor, a comic book hero named

Chip that could change the game in computing power. Nighthawk can run 30% more complex

circuits than its predecessor and links 120 cubits with 218 tunable couplers, about 20% more than IBM's quantum heron.

The processor is expected by year end.

IBM says it's on track to reach quantum advantage next year,

that's when a quantum computer solves problems faster than a supercomputer,

and to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2029.

Fault tolerance refers to a system that can detect and fix inevitable errors. The company also announced new experimental results,

alongside partners like Algorithmic and the Flatiron Institute, that will feed into a new

open community quantum advantage tracker. Jay Gambetta, director of IBM Research, says they are the

only company positioned to rapidly invent and scale quantum software, hardware, fabrication, and

error correction to unlock transformative applications. Among active stocks, Keybanks' AT&T's pullback

off five-and-a-half-year highs presents a compelling buying opportunity

as it raised the stock to overweight from sector weight. Analysts said the telecoms planned to reach

60 million fiber homes and businesses, and recent spectrum acquisition from ECHOSTAR, positions it

as a clear leader in convergence. Global drug stocks are rallying after the FDA appointed Richard Pazdur,

its top cancer drug regulator as the head of its center for drug evaluation and research.

Raymond James analyst Chris Meekin said he is probably the best choice possible for patients

and industry. And in its first earnings report as a public company, Black Rock Coffee Bar posted
