and hypermagnosemia.

So I totally agree. Let's

go on to something that's useful every day, but not so controversial. Today's podcast is all

things magnesium. We're going to start with hypo and we'll focus on that for the bulk and then

we'll switch over to a quick little tidbit on hypermagnesemia. Get right into it. How do we

diagnose magnesium when it's too low and too high?

There aren't really any specific clinical manifestations of hypomagnosemia. I think you need to be like

an Oslerian level doctor to really suspect this necessarily. Although, you know, certainly

you're going to suspect this in, I guess, some clinical scenarios like intrafurbulation and

Tversod, but in general, this is usually going to be asymptomatic, so the diagnosis is

going to be based on checking your magnesium level.

They're not all just telling you they're hyper-reflexive?

The problem is most ICU patients are elderly, and it, honestly, it seems to me a lot of

them just have, like, hyporeflexia at baseline. I don't know if that's...
