And we're going to talk about an episode that I'm really excited about, Checkpoint

Inhibitor Toxicity.

Guys, Josh really went down the rabbit hole on this one.

And my mind is blown and how cool this post is.

You guys really need to read this,

digest it, but I'm excited to go into this because it's going to be epic. So today, we're going to

intro you to what checkpoint inhibitors are. We'll talk about the core principles of these

immune-related adverse events. Then we'll go into specific organ system involvement, and we'll break

this down based on almost every organ system

that these drugs can impact, and then we'll give you a helpful algorithm and finish it off

with some discussion. The most important part here is to understand what these drugs do, Josh. So

walk me through the agents we're talking about here and their mechanism of action. Yeah, so basically

these drugs reduce inhibition on T cells and essentially amplify immune responses

against tumor.

And I don't want to get lost in all the molecular genetics of this.

People have likened this to cutting out the brakes of the immune system, which I kind of

like that is a metaphor.

The good news is that all of these drugs have pretty similar toxicity.
