August, you pointed out this is the first time ever that the four of us have been in the same

0:09.6

place at the same time.

0:10.9

I was really surprised by that fact, but yeah, that's the case.

0:17.1

I can't believe it.

0:18.1

We've been talking so much, but this is the first time the four of us is in the same spot. It's unbelievable. So, Adam, I ask this to the guest a lot, but since you're sitting next to me, can you just set the scene here? Describe where we are and what's going on? So this is the open day. We just finished the open day afternoon and we are all sat around

0:38.2

the saloon table that Andy is really partial to. With East Beyond more next to us and we're

0:46.3

sat here in Bergen in the lovely Norwegian July weather. Sunny in 26 Celsius yesterday and

0:53.3

raining today of course. Of course. that's right um mea how does it

0:58.4

we always talk about how we get inspired by like getting the people that we work with together

1:04.3

but also getting like people that want to sail with us together and that was what we did today

1:08.3

with his open house we had a bunch of staff here mano and jojo are also here having just sailed falcon up from galway how does it feel to you and like

1:15.1

how do you do you get more inspired being in like these situations yes of course it's especially

1:22.0

because a lot of the crew they've on the last trip i got to meet them which is great because i send

1:26.3

a lot of emails to the crew.

1:28.6

So it's great to see them. And just to see how many people come just to check out the boats and who have been following the podcast. And it's like just a big community and getting everyone in person, I think, is so valuable. And that's why I really love this event. Showing everyone on the boats too is really cool. and having the boats to next to each other

1:45.2

and be able to for people to have sailed falcon and then step on to

1:49.1

Eastbyon and see what a difference it is and also like for people listening to the podcast and knowing

1:54.0

about what we do to be able to see them in face because it's so different seeing photos and videos

1:59.2

versus actually stepping on and getting the feel

2:01.1

well how did it feel for you you haven't been on eastpjorn in a long time and neither you or me have seen east peyrein since the last refit at vinda so how did it feel going back on east peyron it feels just like home to be honest she's beautiful i mean she did a lot of nice upgrades to her but the whole feel is is still the same. And it just, yeah, feels like I was on her like yesterday. I got to say, guys, like, I'm super impressed with how the boat, it's East Bjorn's 10th season this year. And the boat's better than she's ever been before. That boat's in better condition now by far than any time we've ever had the boat before. And it's just like really nice to be back. Like I agree with you. It does feel like home, but also feels like a better version of home. Of course. Yeah. It's like if you've gone home again, but like somebody that's lived in your house for the last five years has like made it really nice and fixed all the shit that you that you had dealt with for so many years so that felt that felt

2:52.1
