Hey, everyone. Welcome to the OnScript podcast and a happy new year to all of you on behalf of

the OnScript team. This is Matt Lynch. I'm coming to you from Cheltenham in the UK and where

I teach at Westminster Theological Center. And on behalf of the whole team at OnScript, we hope that you have a wonderful new year.

The Onscript team has expanded now.

If you didn't get the news last year, Aaron Heim has joined us.

So that's been really fantastic.

And she will be having some episodes coming out in the not too distant future.

And of course, Matt Bates and Drew Johnson are still with us and we'll have some other news

as well coming up this year. In this episode, Drew Johnson and I interview in Providence on

his book, The Reformation and and the right reading of scripture,

and given that it's the 501st anniversary of the Reformation, we thought it was appropriate that we

celebrate in some way, and so we're kicking off the year with this book. We find that

too often people are willing to celebrate that 500 year anniversary and the 500 in first year

gets totally neglected. And that's like forgetting your kid at school and just leaving him

there. Or it's like forgetting your spouse's birthday. You know, neither of those things are

acceptable or things that we would want, but yet we're

willing to forget that 501st anniversary.

And that's not how we roll it on script.

So we're going to pay tribute through the whole year, maybe, or maybe not.

And so we're going to lead off this book.
