Let's talk about a quarter back on TN Shady that just got bitch. And that's Derek Carr.

Now head coach, Josh McDaniels made that announcement today at the press conference and said

that Jared Stidham will serve as the starting quarterback for the last two games with Chase Garbers

coming up to be the backup. Now, Carr will be the number three quarterback, but he will be in

active. This is Josh McDaniel at the press conference talking about benching Derek Carr.

We're going to go ahead and start Jared, the last couple games of the season here.

None of us just happy with where we're at. But we think it's an opportunity to

evaluate a younger player who hasn't had much time to play, talking to Derek, who was great.

He understands the scenario that we're in and the situation and very supportive of the two

young guys. Those three guys obviously have worked together hand in hand all year and

he'll do anything he can to help him. So that's what we're going to do. There's no

finality to today. This is just a decision we thought after talking about it and contemplating

it that we thought would be an opportunity for us to see what we have in him.

And how we how we do going forward, we'll see. You know what I mean? So there's a lot to be.

I think there's a lot to be sorted through once the season's over.

You know, you want to see what you got in Stanton, but technically, mathematically,

you're still in the playoff race. So what you're saying just doesn't make sense for us.

I digress. We'll talk about that later. Derek Carr now, this is an interesting situation,

right? And Shady, because Derek Carr has a $40.4 million guaranteed that becomes fully vested.

If he was to not be able to pass a physical before the third day of the 2023 waiver period.
