You know, the college football community Omar lost a great one in Mississippi state head coach Mike Leach, who passed away last night from complications of a heart condition.

He was 61 years young. He spent the last 22 years as a head football coach at Texas Tech Washington state and most recently at Mississippi state.

The statement released by the school today, Leach's family said that he participated in an organ donation at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as his quote unquote final act of charity.

The family said we are supported and uplifted by the outpouring of love and prayers from family friends, Mississippi State University, the hospital staff, football fans around the world. Thank you for sharing in the joy of our beloved husband and father's life.

And you know what? I can't talk much about Mike Leach. He was a great football coach. He brought the the air raid right to college football Omar.

But you know what we have somebody on the line who can talk about him. It is the Mississippi state knew women's basketball coach Sam Purcell.
