| 0:14.0 | Hello, I'm Dr. Laura. I think this is my third call. I had just adore you. I've grown up. I've grown up with you. |
| 0:24.0 | Yes, so, um, okay, so having grown up with you, I value your opinion, but I think that that's what my question is revolving around today is. |
| 0:37.0 | Okay, so without getting into too much psycho babble because I could easily, um, I, I, I had the loss of my father about three years ago and then we had COVID and then I, I endured a move. |
| 0:50.0 | I'm, I left my, my place that I grew up everyone, you know, everyone I knew my community and I live in a new place and I feel a little. |
| 1:00.0 | Well, out of sorts, just convobulated fish out of water. And what it's caused me to realize is that I pretty much didn't grow my own voice for myself. And I've always, I think I looked to my father as like an, you know, authority for my, my voice and somehow I don't really know how to, you know, trust my own instinct, maybe or stop pulling the opinions of others. |
| 1:25.0 | Um, I think because I've had to assess my own personal values through all of this life change experience that I've gone through, I've looked at some of my values and I'm asking others like, well, what do you think of that and how do you see this for me and. |
| 1:41.0 | And it's getting me nowhere and maybe more confused. So I don't know if I have a specific question or if I just need to hear that I need to trust myself somehow, trust my God. |
| 1:56.0 | Well, there's no reason for you to trust yourself. You have no experience with it. |
| 2:00.0 | Oh, you're the last person you should trust. |
| 2:03.0 | So that means like with another person. |
| 2:06.0 | Well, it's reality, right? Yeah. |
| 2:11.0 | You have no reason to trust yourself. You have no history of demonstrating to yourself that you can be trusted to make a reasonable decision and survive a decision that may turn out not to be reasonable. |
| 2:25.0 | Both of those things you have not demonstrated either one of them to yourself. So of course you ask everybody else. You're the last person you would ask. |
| 2:35.0 | Well, well, then my question is how do I earn my own trust in myself? What do I need? |
| 2:44.0 | How would you how would somebody how would you learn to trust somebody else? |
| 2:52.0 | Well, maybe, well, maybe this is where I need to learn. |
| 3:00.0 | I don't know. I know what you're intelligent enough and knowledgeable enough about life to answer that question. |
| 3:11.0 | How would somebody how gain your trust? Anybody me anybody? |
| 3:18.0 | Do what you say you're going to do. |
| 3:22.0 | Yes, follow through follow through. Yes, be there be there when when you're expected to be there. |
