I am a 27-year-old man, and my 25- 25 year old sister is going to get married in April.

They are already planning for their wedding. We grew up with our uncle, mom's brother.

Our mom who was 45 due to a, wasn't physically able to do many things.

She needed help, but it was more than enough.

Our father, who was 53, was abusive towards our mom, but not us. She is physically weak, she has a weak build, my students

might even be stronger. She's always been that way, even as a kid. This made it easier to

mistreat her.

After the court forced a divorce, he continued to contact us and, in air quotes, be there for us.

I rejected all the money he used to send.

My sister, though, didn't. She was contacting him and has a

relationship with him. I asked her to pretend that she doesn't when mamas around.

I asked my sister who will walk her down the aisle. Is it our mom, uncle, or me? She hesitated to answer, but said she'd invite our dad.

We argued about that and I said that if he took one step in there, I'm out. She said I'm being a jerk for giving her an ultimatum.

She can invite the Pope if she wants, but I am free to not attend a wedding that makes me unhappy.
