Angie Smith experienced the pain of burying her baby daughter, Audrey.

But for this family, the pain lasted far beyond the funeral.

For instance, when she was putting her other daughter to bed one night, her daughter asked,

Why did God take Audrey? Why don't we have her?

And sometimes, as believers, we need to not be afraid of saying, Why did God take Audrey? Why don't we have her?

And sometimes, as believers, we need to not be afraid of saying, I don't know.

And I don't need to know the why as much as I need to know the who.

And so that needs to be the focus of these conversations.

And we aren't going to understand it. And there are moments where we just have to say we don't.
