0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to very amusing, your one-stop shop for the stories, secrets, and shenanigans of a popcorn-fueled theme park journalist. |
0:19.0 | I'm Carly Waisal and I'm back from Walt Disney, and I cannot wait to tell you all about it. Oh, yeah, a summer trip to Disney World. Pretty hot. It's pretty hot there. But I want to take the intro here, not to talk about the weather, not to lament the weather, but to instead harp on something that we discussed a few weeks back. Now, I have gotten a few messages about this and a few churros calls. I think there were a few other messages I wasn't able to get back to, and I apologize in advance. But we discussed how, you know, looking at the back half of the year, I really wanted to focus on getting the little things done that I always push aside, that always take less time than I think they will, |
0:54.6 | and are just hanging over me. And I wanted to mention this because I know other people have been |
0:59.3 | dealing with this and recognize this in themselves too, just putting off the little chores that |
1:02.9 | could be solved so quickly. And I'm here to tell you that I did start doing this. I actually |
1:07.5 | did follow through, which is rare for me. But I did follow through |
1:11.6 | and it has been really, really great. Now, I will say my to-do list is still just as long, |
1:17.8 | but I'm really hoping that this motivation and like actually crossing things off will help me get |
1:22.3 | to the end of it. And of course, the things I've been putting off the most were doctor |
1:26.1 | appointments and like physical things that I need to get looked at by different experts. Like, listen, you have a baby, if they slice you open to have a baby, your body's a mess. It's a whole thing. And I just need to like physically, I just want to be able to work out and be physical and move well. And so I am actually taking care of that and making the appointments and seeing all the people that I need to see. And it feels really responsible to be able to cross that stuff off the list. So if you heard that at all in an earlier episode, I forget which one it was, I feel like it was GabSesh. If you heard that a few weeks ago and it resonated with you, this is a check-in. And if you have been in accomplishing stuff, incredible, I applaud you. |
2:54.0 | We are in it together. And if not, maybe start this week, just try to cross a few of those things off because, oh my goodness, the weight of those chores on your shoulders when you have to do them, it just takes up so much space. And now that I'm finally getting through a few of them, it's a lot better. And if you are not neurodivergent and this does not apply to you, wow, I'm really jealous. The fact that I could like, I don't know, go to my post office without having a whole mental thing about it, that would be great. It'd be great to run an errand and not be overwhelmed by the idea of parking. But regardless, if you are someone like me, then yeah, it is something I'm working through. Anyway, we are going to talk about my trip. Oh, my trip, my like back-to-back cruise stay at Disney World. Next week's episode will be Royal Caribbean. I wanted to make sure, I just got back. So I wanted to make sure I had enough time to like really research and organize that episode for you because it is the first time we've done a recap of a sailing on that cruise line. |
2:57.8 | And I want to give you all the important information and not rush it after I come back. |
3:01.8 | Because this one's more of a gab sash. We're rolling with it. So stick around. We're going to talk about Disney World and I can't wait to tell you all about my trip. Ah! Who's fun? Becky! |
3:22.7 | I am so excited to see you, as usual. But also, there are deals that you know about that I don't, that I just found out about from you, that we need to share with people. Like, this is our public service. We need to let people know that they can save big all money. You have no idea. This never happens. And speaking of stuff that never happens, Disney Cruise Line does not run |
3:42.6 | offers. You might see one or two here or there that's like 50% off deposits or, you know, little |
3:47.8 | things to try to have something to talk about out there. But they have gone somewhere that we have |
3:53.7 | not seen them go in a long, long time. Right now, you can get on, of course, |
3:59.2 | the available select sailings on the magic, wonder, dream, fantasy, and wish. That's a lot of ships. |
4:05.0 | By the way, there's a lot of ships to have discounts on. Exactly. For between October 3rd and March 30th, |
4:10.9 | so there's a big window here for anybody who can travel in that window. You can save |
4:15.4 | 50% off your third and fourth guests in the same state room. I have not seen this offer in |
4:23.7 | years. So if your family of four, two people in the room can save up to 50% off their cruise fare, which is mind-blowing. |
