If you played fantasy football this year, you know a lot went right, but a lot also went wrong.

And I'm here to confess what I got wrong this year, but more importantly, what can we learn from it?

And let's start with this man.

Oh, you remember him.

I was a fan of Alan Robinson in round five, and we all know how that turned out.

Robinson ended up playing in just 10 games before injury, and he only saw 52 targets,

so about five targets per game.

Not only that, but he saw a career low in efficiency.

His yards per outrun, 93rd amongst wide receivers, by far his worst season.

Look, I had a lot of Alan Robinson, a top 10 own player in my best ball leagues,

clearly a mistake looking back on it, but why did we get here?

Why did we get here? Why did we like him? Well, to understand where we made the mistake, and if it really was a mistake, we have to look at the process. And that signs with him getting $30 million

guaranteed in a three-year deal from the Rams. He improved the situation going from a bad

Bears offense to the Super Bowl League winners in the Rams, in which he would be teaming up with

Cooper Cup, who would likely draw a lot of the attention. This was the mindset and Robinson was still good in 2021.

Sure, his stats weren't great, but that was a product of his environment.

He was still 14th at getting open versus man coverage.

So he still had that juice.

But obviously it did not come true as an older wide receiver kind of hit the downturn of

his career this year.

And a takeaway is that we can really only trust these elite wide receivers when they're switching teams. AJ Browns, Tyree Kill, Devante Adams, Stefan Diggs in the past, these Kenny Galdet

level receivers or players on the downturn of their career like in Allen Robinson, maybe we don't
