Hey, everyone. Welcome to He'll Survive and Thrive. My voice is a little wonky right now because it's

0:06.5

honestly early in the morning. I just woke up and these are probably the first couple of sentences

0:10.8

that I've even said yet and I haven't even had any caffeine. So hopefully we're going to get through

0:17.5

this and really get this voice sounding normal again. But I, you know,

0:22.2

I woke up this morning and last couple days I just have slept really poorly. Like I haven't slept

0:28.0

well. I know part of it is just my age. I'm 44 going through perimenopause. But I got to be

0:33.3

honest, I feel like a lot of it is just exhaustion, burnout, just, you know, going and going and doing

0:40.4

and doing. And I know you guys can relate to this because you're in the same boats. A lot of you

0:45.5

are parents that follow me. A lot of you are kind of in that age range, that like 35 to 50, I think,

0:53.0

age range where we're kind of like in the thick of it, where raising

0:57.7

kids, we're, you know, full on in our careers. And we don't have the same energy that we

1:05.3

obviously had in our 20s, but yet we're doing way more than we did in our 20s. Now we're starting to like take care of

1:12.1

parents and there's just a lot to manage it. You know, adulting is not for the week, especially when you

1:19.0

have kids and like there's just so, so much going on. So I wanted to sit and kind of have a chat because

1:24.1

I mean, look, these are just things that I go through that I feel and I know you guys can

1:28.6

relate um I used to think that being you know the strong one was I don't know I kind of thought it was

1:37.8

like a flex I'm like look at me go it was something that I was actually really proud of I always

1:44.0

had it together I really did really proud of. I always had it together.

1:46.0

I really did.

1:47.2

And now looking back, I'm like, geez, man, how did I even think that that was even normal?

1:51.6

I was the one that people could really lean on.

1:53.9

And I still am a person that people can lean on.
