You know, are Jews allowed to ask each other? Yes, because it's just an American holiday.

There's no, oh my gosh, come up. I suddenly got weird asking the rabbi about how is Thanksgiving.

No, it's funny. Well, on the one hand, I always say to people that Thanksgiving is my favorite

holiday because I don't have to work on it. But I actually studied up on the Jewish history of

Thanksgiving because, of course, it was established as a religious holiday by George Washington.

And so there was over the years questions by rabbis about whether we should celebrate it, which is very funny now.

My favorite text that I studied was by this rabbi who said, on the question of whether you're

allowed to celebrate Thanksgiving, the answer is no.

However, if the family happens to have the day off of work on that day and wants to get together, they may.
