So I grabbed the dollar bill. I sat down at the desk and I sniffed it. And that moment right

there changed my life forever.

Brendan Thomas grew up in Connecticut with a loving family and a solid foundation. But one

pill changed everything. His first time trying oxy led to a brutal eight-year spiral into addiction,

dealing drugs, and eventually heroin. He dropped out of college, lost control of his life,

and struggled countless failed attempts to get clean. But after hitting rock bottom, Brendan turned

it all around, and today he's an EMT, saving lives on the same streets where he nearly lost his own.
