Travis Hoban always wanted to be a cop—just like his dad, a tough New Jersey correctional officer. But growing up in a household filled with alcoholism and emotional turmoil, Travis carried more than just ambition into adulthood. After finally making it onto the force, his career came crashing down just one year in—arrested for DUI and forced to resign. Hit the woods. My pastor's side cave in. My gun went flying somewhere in a car. And then they went to check on me, you know, it was a good, you know, good citizen or whatever. And he opens the wheel. Travis, welcome to Lockton, man. Thank you here. Thanks for having me. I appreciate it. Yeah, you came from Philadelphia area today? Like Cherry Hill, yeah. Okay. Not too bad of a drive. It was about three hours. It wasn't terrible. Came with a wife, so. But she didn't want to come watch the interview. No, no, she didn't want to come inside. She said, keep her away for this. Yeah, she wanted no parts. So I dropped her off the mall. She met her aunt there and her aunt lives in Connecticut also. So that's what worked out. It's always interesting how many wives do do that. Like I'll have like the husbands come in. I'm like, oh, why didn't you invite them up? They're like, oh, they're just staying in the car. And it's like, well, we got a nice lobby day coming out.
