Dawn. Welcome to the program. Hi, thank you Dr. Laura. I'm I am

calling in regards to my little guy, my six-year-old. He's been not the kindest little guy, which he's usually very, very

sweet and kind, and he's also started lying when he's caught doing something unkind and trying to turn it around on like the child other child or

Self or his dad or and just being really mean words,

like who's being unkind to a student at school today, his friend.

Can you give me an example of what you're calling unkind?

Yes.

So today at school, he was playing with a friend

and knocked him down accidentally

and then told me this long story how that friend was being kind and then his

friends came up to his head.

How is it you and your son keep using the word kind?

Where is that coming from?

I guess that's just like my biggest goal as a bomb is to have a kind child.

I'm not understanding your words.

And I guess the honest child I wish that he would just own up to what he does and

and apologize instead of getting upset and saying mean words like he says I hate my friends I hate

the school and he goes to the so at that point you, I think you may be feeling so embarrassed that that happened, that

you're sort of so upset you're saying things you don't mean.

In other words, you interpret the behavior rather than sit here and bemoan it.
