Hello, Dr. Laura. Hi. What's up?

So I wanted to talk about a situation I'm having with my family, especially my brother.

So two years ago, my mom passed away from a neurodegenerative disease that is a lot similar to ALS.

And so me and my two older sisters the last two years of her life were helping to take care of her.

My two brothers were sort of out of the picture for the most part.

And about a month before my mom passed away, me and my older brother had a very huge argument and just very hurtful terrible things were said to each other.

And a huge argument about what?

I at this point, I couldn't even tell you.

I think that I was angry that he wasn't there helping with our family and helping my mom.

And and then he just started attacking every part of my character.

And it just got to be super hurtful.

Until eventually he just called me to see word and shut the door in my face.

And so my my mom always like even after that fight when I was helping my mom get ready for bed, she tells me,

I just want you and your brother to get along.

And then she passes away about two weeks later.

And then she says, my brother and I are at the funeral together but we don't say anything.

And I talked to my sisters and I said, I really want to have a relationship with him.

And they say he doesn't want a relationship with you.

And it's kind of like I lost my mom but also my brother at the same time.

And I just wonder how do you cope with, you know, I know I don't have control over him.
