I want my country back. The definition of perversion is the alteration of something from its original

and proper and natural state into something considered abnormal or corrupted. To not be corrupted,

to be aligned with your creational intent is to be glorious. Now, this show is called American

Glory and I realized I've never explained why.

The word glory has fallen out of our vocabulary since the 1700s.

Its usage has declined by about 90%, yet for centuries.

It was one of the most important words in the Christian worldview.

It was used to describe God or Christ and man and woman or the church and kings and nations and even creation itself.

Today, most people don't know what glory means. They think it means fame or prestige or success or admiration or victory.

But glory is none of those things. Glory is the rightful, radiant expression of a particular

object. It's when activity perfectly reflects identity. A clock can be glorious. It can also be perverted.

When it tells time, it reflects its identity and reveals its glory. But when it's altered, it

become like a paperweight or a decoration or a piece of metal, it may still have some sort

of purpose or usefulness, but it's lost the glory because it no longer fulfills the purpose

for which it was made. A man has a glory. A woman has a glory. A lion has a glory. A tree has a glory. And a nation has a

glory. What makes these things absolutely glorious is not merely that they exist, but that they

operate according to their creator's design. Again, glory is when an object rightly reflects

its creational intent. So a man who acts like a woman is not

glorious. A mother who abandons her maternal calling to chase a career is not glorious. Stay-at-home

fathers and women's soldiers are not glorious. A mighty oak that has fallen down into a river

and now serves as a bridge has lost its glory.

An object is truly glorious only when it functions according to God's will for its created purpose.
