We're so excited to be joined by Secretary of Agriculture, my friend Brooke Rawlins. Brooke, so excited to have you on the show,

especially because you've been such a huge part of what I think is maybe one of the most

important things that this president and this administration are doing.

Recently, we saw the updated food pyramid.

Give us kind of the background on all of this, why this was important from your perspective

to do, and how different it actually is from the previous versions that we've kind of known

throughout the years.

Well, first of all, it's so good to see you too, my friend.

We've had quite some adventures, haven't we?

Yes.

We travers the farmer farmers market together.

We adopted dogs together. I know. I mean, it's been an awesome year with you. And today,

the one year anniversary of when the president was sworn in, I'm not sure when the show is showing,

but it is a really, really great time. And I think you're right, Laura.

I think that the release of the new dietary guidelines and the opportunity to completely

literally flip on its head what was decades of sort of accepted wisdom given to you by your

government that, oh, eat lots of fruit loops and, oh,

you know, go buy the stuff in the packages and, oh, there's no difference between that and

real food. And of course, we've also seen over that same time period, basically the collapse
