I'm Allie. I live in the Upper West Side. I'm 29 on the cusp of 30. I'll be 30 next month.

Yeah, and I'm here to just kind of talk about dating in New York. I mean, I know that's kind of like a tale as old as time. But as someone who's like now lived there for seven, almost like going on my eighth year, I am almost 30. I have never had a serious boyfriend. You know, obviously there's Trists here and there.

But, you know, as someone who has been deeply, deeply in the New York dating scene,

still kind of coming out single.

But just like in general, I've never had a boyfriend. And it's kind of, I feel like it's a topic

that I feel like more women at least can relate, but it's not like very highly discussed. I feel like

sometimes I'm like an anomaly where I'm like, oh my God,

like I have friends who are fully married who like, you know, people I grew up with are now

moms. And I'm like, and I still haven't had a boyfriend.

Okay. Well, you are definitely in the right place because I talk to so many people, both men and women, who are in

such a similar boat to you. But to your point, like, people don't really talk about it that

much. And so I think what happens is when you're going through it, you feel alone in it,

especially when the people around you are not in that same situation. So I appreciate you coming on and

wanting to talk about it. I think it's something that it's a topic I love to talk about as somebody

who, you know, all I wanted in life was to be like a boyfriend kind of girl who like we we all have friends that like jump from one

relationship to the next and we're like well we can't get one person to want to be with us

why not do you think it's something that like do you define yourself by it like does it bother you or do you think it's something that, like, do you define yourself by it? Like, does it bother you? Or do you think it other people define you by it?

I think it's more something that's like self put on. I don't really think other people think much of it. I mean, I hope not. But like it has been like something to your point where,

you know, close, close, close, some of us friends, you know, always had boys who were into them,

you know, even like as like in middle school where I was like, okay, no boy at the bar about

Missville wants to dance with me. I'm like, is it me? Um, so I think it's definitely like
