Okay. I have I've been married 25 years. I have two children, a boy and a girl. The 18 year old son is the one I'm calling about.

I just throughout the years, he's really caused a lot of stress and anxiety in our family. Yeah, but he's 18. He's out now. Yeah, get him out. No, no, he's 18.

You hand him the pink slip. He's out of your house. You don't pay for the car, the cell phone. He figures it out. He can join the military. He can do whatever the hell he wants. But you're done sobbing over him already. Please.

Okay, you're done 18. You're done. No more sobbing. No more trying to make him be other than he chooses. But get him out of the house.

Okay.

Give him 50 bucks, a chicken sandwich and a hug and get him out. Tell him you have the pink slip on your life. We love you. Come visit.

That's it. What's he going to do? Who knows? We'll have to figure it out.

But it's his turn now. Your turn's over.

I'm always surprised when people are not relieved. I want to hear relief. I want to hear relief. I don't care if he's going to screw up and you can't either.

It's his life now to figure out you two could have been the best parents in the universe. Doesn't matter.

People come into this world with certain propensities. Yeah. And no matter what we do, we only have that range to work with.

You notice some kids are very musical. Some kids are very athletic. They're not all the same. Some kids are cooperative. Some kids are real pain in the ass. Everybody's different.

So he has to figure out the rest of his life. It's now his turn. Your turn is over. So wish him the best. Give me two nice compliments. You can give me about him. Just two.

He's passionate about things he believes in. Good. That's a nice compliment. Give me another one.

He's kind to animals. That's it. I want you to focus in. He's passionate. Things he believes in. And he's really nice to animals.

These are two beautiful thoughts to keep in your mind as he's out on his own.
