First up today, here's a voicemail from one of our listeners named Doug.

My question is, in 1 John chapter 2, verse 2, it says Jesus is the propitiation for the whole world.

So he bore the guilt for believers and unbelievers alike.

He knew the heart of every living soul.

And being God the creator, he knows everybody internally anyway.

So how in Matthew 723 can Jesus say,

and some people, depart from me, I never knew you?

I can see him saying, depart from me, you never knew me,

but he says, I never knew you.

Hmm. Excellent question.

And I like how you're tying those two passages together.

It sounds to me like there's a little bit of confusion.

Okay, well, how can this be?
