I, 42 female, was a teen mom.

I got married only a few weeks after I turned 18 and I gave

birth to my daughter, Kiyara, 24 female, the week before I was 19. I was a baby myself

and I resented my circumstances, especially after my husband died. The only light in my life

was Kiyara at the time. It was me and her against the world.

When Kiara was 13, she told me she didn't want to have kids because she was scared they'd have a childhood like her.

That hurt me, but it's her choice and I told her so. I started taking her to an after-school sex ed class.

Her school didn't offer one, so she could learn how to be
