Now today's first story comes from a throwaway account. It's titled, I the asshole,

for trying to get rid of boyfriend's dog and does come with an update. Throwaway because I'm

not sure if my boyfriend or his friends use Reddit. So my 29 female boyfriend's brother, 21 male, passed away about a month ago.

He had a dog, a bull terrier, named cat.

The dog was staying with my boyfriend's mother during her bereavement leave.

My boyfriend 29 male loves this dog.

I'm not a dog person, but I can tolerate her. She's not vicious or aggressive

in any sort of way. Now here is where the problem comes. Boyfriend and I live together. Have an

autistic eight-year-old son that I have split custody of. He is absolutely terrified of dogs.

It's gotten to the point where he wants to be at his father's house

rather than ours. And it's because of the dog. Another thing is the responsibility. I already

have an autistic 8 year old. My boyfriend works long hours and I work from home. We simply don't

have time to look after her. I talked to my boyfriend about the possibility of us getting rid of the

dog for the sake of my son. He said his mother would take her, but she travels a lot for work. I asked

if there was a friend that would take her instead. He says that he isn't sure, but he would like to

keep the dog because it was his deceased brother's dog and he'd like to have something to remember him by.

He says he will try to see what he can do. A few days rolled by and he doesn't seem to be

actively looking for a place for the dog. Meanwhile, my child asked if he could stay with his dad

because of the dog. So I looked online and found a couple looking for a dog. They decided to come
