Summary

Tonight’s guest, R.K., works in the oil field business, which requires him to work a lot of hours. When he’s not working, though, he loves nothing more than spending time in the woods. He’s an avid hunter and fisherman who, as he puts it, spends time outdoors every chance he gets.

He likes to visit different places, in his area, to see what the hunting and fishing is like in those spots. 1 time, when he had agreed to meet his dad and uncle, who had already gone on a fishing trip, he had more fun than he bargained for, before he even met up with them. The day he was supposed to meet up with them, he left his house just before sunrise. It was roughly a 2-hour drive for R.K. to get to the place where his dad and uncle were fishing, that day. To get to their location from R.K.”s house, normally, there were 2 options. Under normal circumstances, you could take a fairy, or you could take a longer, more circuitous route, that took longer, to get to their fishing location. The morning R.K. drove to meet them, the fairy was out of operation, so that wasn’t an option. That meant he had to take the longer route. While driving the longer route, nothing out of the ordinary had happened, as he drove to their location. That all changed, though, when he came around a bend in the road and started crossing a bridge and found himself in a more open area, where he could see a good distance. At that moment, he happened to look to his left and when he did, he thought he saw a bear, standing out in the water, below. It wasn’t long before he realized that he wasn’t looking at a bear, however. He was looking at a creature he’d never seen before. It was a Sasquatch!

0:00.0	My name is RK, and I work in the oil field business, and I have for about 25-30 years now.
0:11.4	And when I'm off in between jobs and for my downtime, I'm an added hunter and fisherman,
0:18.8	and I basically live in the outdoors every chance that I get.
0:24.5	Like I said, I try to go to different areas in my location to do different, like,
0:31.3	different lakes and different areas for hunting and fishing.
0:33.8	And this particular time, I was actually meeting my dad and my uncle on a fishing trip,
0:41.3	and they went a couple of days before me.
0:44.8	So the morning I left, it was just before sunrise.
0:50.5	It was probably a two-hour drive to where we were going.
0:54.4	There was two access areas to this area where they were fishing at.
0:59.1	One was by, you had to take a ferry across a channel like a body of water,
1:04.0	and the other was a little longer, and I had to take that route, because the ferry was
1:10.6	in operating that day. And it's a more isolated area, so that was the route that I took.
1:17.2	And when I come off of the highway, it's an area, it's called the Cabot Trail here,
1:24.1	and I probably drove for about 15, 20 minutes, and there's a bridge on the right-hand side
1:32.8	of the direction I was going was like, almost like a lake, but it is tidal.
1:37.7	And on the left-hand side, it's like an estuary where the tidal water goes up inside,
1:44.2	it's like a brook, heavier than a brook, but not quite a river.
1:48.5	The tide does affect it in there, it gets higher and lower as the tide drops in rice.
1:54.4	So as I was coming around the turn and crossing the bridge,
1:59.6	I happened to look to my left, because I always look like when I come to an open area,
2:04.0	you see if there's any deer, or anybody fishing, or anything like that.
