all right so let's go together to the book of first kings everybody first kings chapter number

19 we're going to begin our reading at verse number one it reads like this it says now

ahab told jezebel everything elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the

sword so jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah

to say, may the gods deal with me be it ever so severely if by this time tomorrow I do not make

your life like that of one of them. Elijah was afraid and he ran for his life. When he came to

Bersheba in Judea, he left his servant there while he himself

went a day's journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom brush, sat down under it and prayed that

he might die. I have had enough, Lord, he said, take my life. I am no better than my ancestors.

Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep all at once

an angel touched him and said get up and eat I want to talk from this subject in our time together

y'all locked in you ready to receive all right here is. I think I'm about to break.

Clap your hands if you're ready for God's word.

I want to ease into this introduction by introducing an axiom that I was exposed to several years ago that's going to be the foundation of the

revelation we're going to receive this week and here it is for my note takers here's the axiom here

it is more of anything means more of everything more of everything more of anything means more of

everything in other words more of something in one area means more of

something else in another more of what you do want is accompanied by more of what you don't want

Jesus put it this way to whom accompanied by more of what you don't want.

Jesus put it this way. To whomsoever, much is given.

Much is also required. This is what I affectionately entitled the backside of the blessing.
