Before this job, before I worked in radio, maybe you didn't know this, but I worked in daycare and I was a preschool

teacher.

Sometimes it feels like she still is.

Honestly, it really does.

And as you can imagine, there are lots of tough days for teachers, but nothing is crazier

than the dreaded birthday day. day.

And you may be thinking, well, why is that?

It's not that we don't want to celebrate the kids special day.

It's not that.

It's just that we dread the popular birthday snack option that all parents seem to pick for their child's classroom, the cupcake.

Here's one teacher to explain the reason why she asked parents not to bring the cupcakes.

These don't bring cupcakes, but these make a

gynormous mess and the kids honestly don't eat them that great.
