Today I messed up by eating before my S.O. arrived so that she wouldn't steal my food.

The fuck up happened today, but it has been going on for months before I had to spill the beans.

For additional context, I will add that my S.O.

and I have been together for a bit more than six years.

We have taken the habit of going to the restaurant once a week

at the very minimum, once every two weeks.

We often go to the same restaurants

and they are very close to my workplace,

so it is no surprise for her that I would already be there
