Tonight’s guest, Glen “Sport Cat” Jackson, has had several encounters with Sasquatch, over the years. That was the main motivating factor behind his decision to get into podcasting. 0:10.9	But that's not how I started this journey.
0:12.7	I started this journey back as a teenager in Alexandria, Virginia.
0:18.0	It's a small suburb just outside of Washington, D.C. nestled in the suburbs.
0:22.2	In the 80s, it was much different than it is today with all the gridlock and traffic
0:26.4	and political chaos.
0:28.9	It was a much simpler and easier time, and you know, as kids, we were always told not
0:33.7	to go out in the woods because the boogeyman will get you.
0:38.2	When the late 80s, there was a lot of stirring, commotion about a creature that was in the
0:44.0	woods near where I lived in Mount Vernon.
0:47.3	It was somewhere between Fort Belvoir and Mount Vernon.
0:51.3	If you know your history, Mount Vernon is the home of the first president of the United
0:54.8	States, George Washington, and he has a huge mansion and manner in a state.
0:59.5	It's actually a Southern plantation.
1:02.3	George Washington kept fields for his pigs, for his cattle.
1:07.0	He raised crops.
1:08.6	He actually also had a whiskey still, just distillery.
1:12.6	So yeah, George Washington was quite the farmer, and he actually loved to be on his mansion,
1:17.4	and it's over, I think, 230-some acres.
1:21.7	Yeah, attached to George Washington's pastures and fields, he had a huge, sprawling acreage
1:28.4	of 230-some acres.
