Summary

Tonight’s guest, LaVone, grew up in Great Falls, Montana, in an area her mother called the flats. LaVone and her family lived on a 10-acre property that was next to what she believes was a Native American reservation. Back then, she used to go horseback riding with a Native American girl who was a few years older than she was. One day, in 1976, LaVone went for a ride with that girl past a rock quarry that was close to where she lived. Normally, she avoided the area around the quarry due to a neighbor who routinely allowed his dangerous dogs run loose there. The day they went for that ride, LaVone didn’t see those dangerous dogs, luckily. What she did see, though, was something that took her by surprise much more so than those dogs would have. We hope you’ll tune in and listen to her share the details of what happened that day and share the details of other Sasquatch-related experiences she’s had over the years.

1:04.6	We are living in Great Falls, Montana.
1:08.9	And what I remember my mom calling this area, she always called it the flats.
1:14.5	It was up near the airport in Great Falls, and we lived next to what I believed was a reservation.
1:33.3	We lived in a small trailer. We had about 10 acres surrounded by alfalfa fields. There was a quarry that was basically at the end of our 10-acre fence and then across the road. My mom always called it the quarry.
1:47.7	I've never been down there, so I actually do not know if it was an actual quarry. I used to go
1:56.3	horseback riding with a Native American girl. I was eight and a half, almost nine years old in
2:03.2	76, and she taught me how to ride bareback. Now mind you, I had a very small Shetland pony,
2:11.7	and her pony was a little bit bigger than mine. The only way that I could ride with her is if I rode bareback,
2:20.3	bareback and then with just a rope, you know, for no bit or anything like that, just a rope around
2:27.1	the nozzle. We never had issues going horseback riding. You know, back in 76, it was very safe for two young girls to go riding far away from home.
