Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's call to mind all of those we've promised to pray for. Our meditation for today

comes from the Gospel of the Mass John Chapter 10. The Jews fetched stones to stone him. So Jesus said to them, I have done

many good works for you to see, works from my father.

For which of these are you stoning me?

The Jews answered him.

We are not stoning you for doing a good work, but for blasphemy. You are only a man and you claim to be God.

Jesus answered, is it not written in your law?

I said, you are gods?

So the law uses the word gods of those to whom the word of God is addressed and scripture cannot be rejected.

Here Jesus quotes Psalm 82 verse 6.

You too are gods, sons of the most high, all of you.

This is the striking uniqueness of Catholicism, that God's sole plan is to pour his divine life into us and make us adopted sons and daughters of God.

Sius Lewis in mere Christianity writes,

We are not begotten by God.

We are only made by Him.

In our natural state, we are not sons of God, only so to speak, statues. We have not got

Zoe or spiritual life, only bios or biological life which is

which is presently going to run down and die.

Now the whole offer which Christianity makes is this, that we can, if we let God have his way,

come to share in the life of Christ. If we do, we shall then be sharing a life which was begotten, not made, which always
