Summary

This episode might make you laugh out loud, but will also get you fired up to get rid of OLD energy in your life.  It's critical that you clear out energetic clutter in your environment, in your relationship, and in your habits. If you want to invite in anything NEW (more intimacy, more fun, more connection), you need to make space for it.

Tune in to this episode where Jocelyn dives into specific ways you can clear out old energy. And that includes old underwear (I just threw out a bunch and ordered more)

Also, make sure to save your seats for The Couples Workshop on April 11th. We might not host another one online, so now is your chance!

Well, hello there and welcome back to the Empowered Couples podcast. You're going to be having a conversation with me, Jocelyn. If you've been listening for a while, you know that we take turns every other week doing a solo episode in addition to our episode together as a couple. And today I'm going to be talking to you about how I realized my underwear is five years old. But I'm not going to leave you there. You're not going to be like Jocelyn. Why are you talking to me about old underwear? What's the point? Because I'm really

0:24.9

going to get into what old energy needs to be removed from your relationship. So tune in to this

brief episode. You're going to laugh a little bit, but you're also going to get a principle

0:34.5

that is going to bring more positive energy into your

0:37.8

life and your relationship. And where did this come from, Jocelyn? How did I come up with this?

0:44.5

Well, this weekend, we'd been talking a lot about complacency in our life, hence why we did an entire

0:49.8

episode about complacency in marriage. But in that conversation, we were also auditing our life

0:56.6

and looking at where we've just been allowing stuck old energy to exist. And so, you know,

1:03.2

I think with spring cleaning, right, like as things transition and people start to feel more

1:08.0

energy, things are blooming. I think it's natural for a lot of people to

1:12.2

start to look around the home and think, I want to clean things out. But a lot of times we don't think

1:17.0

about cleaning out old things from our life, from our marriage, from our relationship. But I happen

1:24.8

to go into my drawers, started doing some spring cleaning, getting rid of things,

1:30.9

and isn't it the best feeling when you're getting rid of an old shirt or an old bra,

1:35.8

old pair of pants?

1:37.2

I know guys, you're listening to this too, right?

1:39.5

So I want you to feel included.

1:41.4

And I realized, oh my gosh, these underwear are way too old. They're like five

1:46.1

years old, the majority of the underwear that I have. Now, they're not like haggard or like,

1:50.5

you know, completely destroyed by the way. But I just realized, man, like I'm allowing this

1:56.9

stuck energy to be here. And I mean, I'm going to bed in them and I wear them throughout

2:01.8

the day. Like, why do I wear such old things? And I think that it was symbolic for the way I can
