We don't waste our time when we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and when we remember that the gospel is going to bring persecution.

Rejection. People are going to hate us. They don't want nothing to do with us.

But yet because we belong to him, he will protect you. He will watch over you.

He will demonstrate his love and power over your life and you will shine as the stars of the heaven.

Today's lesson continues our study of First Peter with a challenge to boldly share the

gospel's good news. Roll will urge us to persevere in pointing people to the Lord, even if we are

rejected or harassed for our faith. Stay with us for a reminder that many others,

including Jesus himself, have endured persecution. When you stand firm, God can use you mightily

in building his kingdom. Let's listen as Roll Rees begins. Verse 17, verse Peter 3. He says, for it is better if it is the will of God to suffer for doing good

than for doing evil. Notice that. What's my first instance when somebody is coming against me?

I want to get even. And yet doing the will of God is not always easy, but it's what? It's always the best thing to do,

according to God's word. And this is the reason that we do what is right in good, never, never

compromising, never ever compromising. And I'm talking to myself tonight too. We cannot compromise.

The will of God. Think about this. The will of God was fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

Imagine out of all eternity, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

and the Father decided to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into this world.

To do what? To fulfill His will.

And what was His will?

To save people like you and me by him going to the cross and dying,
