Peter wants to make sure that you understand that these women were being oppressed

by non-believing husbands.

They had come to know Christ.

And here Peter is teaching them the Word of God.

And he's teaching them how to love their husbands into the kingdom of God.

Not by preaching to them, not by nagging them.

And not by doing anything they will become antagonistic

against the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I thought about this this week that there are so many, just this week counseling with people,

there are so many marriages on the rocks. And then there's a lot of

times, which is so cool, we've seen a lot of people here at Calvin Chapel that we're living together

are coming to get married now because the Holy Spirit has spoken to them, you know, which is really cool.
