And he wants to make sure that his readers and his listeners, like we are here tonight,

that we understand who we are in Jesus Christ, we are living stones.

We are built up as a spiritual house.

Which means what?

People are watching us.

People are watching our lives.

They're watching to see how we live.

Chapter 2, verse 5. He says, coming to him as a living stone rejected indeed by man

but chosen by God and precious notice what he's saying here the paragraph here begins with

the figure of a speech in the reference to Jesus Christ as what, as a living stone.

And then at the same time, this living stone is rejected by dead stones.

People that do not believe in Jesus Christ.

Who's that?

That's the world.
