And then it kind of just got brought up that our moms had known the same guy, like, been with the same guy.

And then, yeah, like a few days later, that's when we were kind of like, that's weird. Like, this is weird.

Yeah. And today we're speaking with popular TikTok couple, Carly and Mercedes. They've been making headlines recently when they announced that they may actually be half-sisters.

And we've got them on the line and we're excited to chat with them today. So thanks so much for being on.

Yeah. So you guys have, I believe, almost a million followers on TikTok. A ton of people following your relationship together.

But now you have people kind of holding their breath and waiting for DNA test results. But before we get into all of that, can you just tell us quickly how you met and how you started gaining such popularity on TikTok?

Yeah. So we met at a bar. We kind of just had like an instant connection. I went up and talked to Carly and then, yeah, we kind of like had our first little night together. And then we hung out pretty much every day since then.

We started social media like probably six months into dating. And yeah, we didn't really expect it to blow up. It was the pandemic. And we were kind of just like, we need something to do.

Like, we need something fun and like a hobby almost. So yeah, we started social media. And then one of our videos kind of just took off.

And then our engagement was just crazy good. And yeah, it's all just been crazy since then.

Yeah. And like the majority of our followers, like when we first started gaining a following, the main reason I feel like why they were commenting on our videos is because they were like, oh my god, like you guys look like sisters, you guys look like twins.

Like take a DNA test. So like, I think it's just like really ironic. And it's kind of like full circle that, you know, we're here today with, you know, the story we're about to tell.

Yeah, I was going to ask like what, which video went like viral? Did it have anything pertaining to this subject at all?

No, it was, I think it was a Valentine's Day video. That one kind of started. But I think that was our first one that hit like over 10k.

I think you only had like 15k and we were going crazy. It was so embarrassing. And then we had another one that was like a sexualish kind of video.

And that's the one that like took off. Yeah, it was like, tell me why you're dating your girlfriend without telling me why you're dating your girlfriend. And yeah, I looked at, I put the camera on Mercedes.

And then she did this like really crazy thing with her tongue. And then people just reacted to that really well. And then people were like stitching it and do it.

And so that's kind of how I feel like our socials really started.

And was that when people started commenting about how you guys looked very similar? Yeah, that was probably the first video of that.
