I'm so honored to be here. I'm honored to speak into your community. I'm excited about

just what I have to share with you tonight and I hope that it opens all of our hearts and all of our minds to, I think, be more hungry for who

God is and who Jesus is and more hungry to know Him at a greater level. So if you have your Bibles tonight,

grab your Bibles. If not, it's going to be on the screen's, John Chapter 4.

John Chapter 4. John chapter 4, beginning in verse 3.

It says he left Judea, we're talking about Jesus here,

and departed again for Galilee, and he had to pass through

Samaria. Now real quick Jesus is on a journey. He's going from one city to another.

The Bible here is using language saying that he has to go

through some area. And so it would imply that it means that this was the only

route for Jesus to go in order to get to his destination. Well in fact there was

actually two other routes that Jesus could have taken but the Bible says that

he had to go through Samaria because he had an appointment.

Jesus loves people and he had an appointment with an incredible Samaritan woman that were about ready to meet.

It says, so he came to a town of Samaria called Sicar, near the field that

Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there. So Jesus,

wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well.

It was about the sixth hour.

A woman from Samaria came to draw water.

Jesus said to her, give me a drink,

for his disciples had gone into the city to buy food.
