Morning everybody. Welcome along to your free podcast for today. It's Monday, 23rd of September,

and it will go down in history as the day that your holiday was screwed up. Yes, believe it or

not, Thomas Cook has gone under, one of the oldest travel companies in the entire world.

And what's going to happen now? Well, basically, they've

washed their hands. I could have told you three days ago they weren't going to cough up 200 more

million quid. They owe 1.6 billion. The big question is, how were they allowed to get into this

ridiculous state? But this isn't the program for doing that on. We do that on all the rest of our

programs on LBC.

But it is a terrible state of affairs. If you were a hotelier and you've been happily taking in Thomas Cook customers and you've got your bill ready, you know, this month we've

earned 100,000 euros or whatever it is, and then Thomas Cook goes under and you've got a load

of people sitting in your hotel, what an earth is going to go on. So quite rightly, some of the hotel is

that you're not leaving until you're paid. They want their money. And it's no good to stand.

They're going, oh, we don't have any credit cards. Better bloody well find some. Because if you

had a business, you'd be saying, come on, somebody's got to pay. And now the government are going
