I’M STILL HERE with JOE QUILLEN
“Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with their heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.”
– Rumi
Episode Summary:
As a parent, can you even imagine the pain of losing your child? Does your head even allow you to consider that possibility?
Today we have a raw and emotional conversation with Joe McQuillen, author, husband and father to three children, two here on Earth and one on the other side. Joe’s son Christopher crossed at the tender age of 21. But their father-son relationship has carried on from opposite sides of the veil.
Joe’s books are:
- My Search for Christopher: On the Other Side
- We’re Not Done Yet, Pop: My Lessons from the Other Side
Listen in to hear how a grieving father and self-described “regular guy” remains lovingly connected to his son, who has helped him author his two books from the other side.
Topics We Discuss:
- [4:00] How Joe experienced a parent’s worst nightmare, dealing with the tragic loss of his college age son in a boating accident.
- [9:40] How a self-described “regular guy” opened a connection to Spirit, and ultimately an ongoing connection to his beloved son. Multiple inexplicable experiences with mediums. Unmistakable communication from Christopher.
- [16:04] Joe’s experience where his son Chris started coming to him directly.
- [26:58] How Joe was able to preserve his marriage throughout the trauma of losing Christopher. Many couples who lose a child also lose their relationship.
