Welcome to The Auburn Podcast, your daily Auburn sports podcast presented by Auburn Undercover and hosted by Zac Blackerby. On the show Friday, Blackerby is joined by Painter Sharpless of ESPN 106.7. The guys take a question from a subscriber a discuss what it would look like if Nick Saban coached the Tigers. Both Blackerby and Sharpless believe there is not a huge gap in regard to “X’s and O’s” and do not think it would affect the 2018 season too much. The guys also chat about the Washington receiver missing the season opener in Atlanta and how things are beginning to look more and more favorable for Auburn’s team. 1:14.1	of looking at Stidham and comparing him like all right would Auburn get better or worse if
1:18.5	they switch quarterbacks with this other SEC you know other SEC teams that was with you right
1:23.1	he kind of thought that we should do that with coaches in the conference.
1:31.3	And so I think the main thing you wanted to get at was talk about like,
1:35.9	how much better would Auburn be if Nick Saban was the coach?
1:39.1	And so I've been thinking about it.
1:41.5	And I don't think it would be like an instant upgrade right away. I think it would
1:46.8	be like a two or three years kind of thing. But if Sabin was Auburn's head coach right now,
1:54.9	would it increase their chances of winning the national championship this year? I don't think it
1:59.0	would. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that Coach Saban isn't an excellent X as a nose coach,
2:04.6	but part of where he makes his money, his bread and butter,
2:08.0	is in the ability to simply out-recruit everyone.
2:10.4	And he's done that for such a long time.
