27 female, carrying around her blanket. I'm planning to get rid of it.

My 28 male girlfriend, 27 female, and I have been together for two years now, and we have gotten very comfortable with

one another. Perhaps even a little too comfortable as she no longer cares about keeping her bad

habit discreet from me, and I hate it. She has this old, tattie comfort blanket, and it stinks.

Honestly, it smells like death and reminds me of the bandages mummies are wrapped in.

It's torn and frayed at the edges and has disgusting stains on it. She never washes it as she

says it would spoil the smell. Once early on in our relationship, I did put it through the

wash without her knowing. I thought she would come around to appreciating

it being fresh and clean, but no. She went crazy and told me to never wash it again without her

explicit permission. She said that I ruined the smell and feel of it and it would take her ages to get it back to how she liked it.

I just don't get it. It's a piece of cloth.

Why does she want to keep it in such a dirty and disgusting state? It really does smell awful

and it feels kind of greasy when it's not washed. It makes me feel physically sick to touch

and smell it. It's completely gross. She carries it around the house with her,

leaves it on the couch and sleeps with it right next to me. I knew about it when we first got

together, but she was subtle. Kept it under a pillow and didn't carry it around with her, so I didn't
