Hi Dr. Laura, how are you?

Good. What can I do for you?

I'm 56 years old. I'm a single mom and I'm just graduated from Merle University in May with his bachelor's and now he's he still lives with me.

He works to job. He's starting his life. So now is my turn Dr. Laura and I dropped out of college so I can work to two jobs to you know to pay the bills and help him do college.

So now is my turn. Is there like self-help books to you know for middle age women that starting over? I mean just live and start in their life over.

Well you're not starting your life over. You'd have to die and get bored again to start your life over. You're not doing that. What you're doing is creating a new paragraph in the book of your life.

Yeah. This is your next step but you're not starting anything over.

Okay. So what is it you'd like to do? Do you want to work? Do you want to go to school? Do you want to go to school and work? Do you want to do? What do you want to do? Get ready for the Boston Marathon? What do you want to do?

Well I registered for college. I want to finish school because I dropped out.

Okay and what are you going to major in?

I want to major in psychology.

Okay. Do you want to teach or do you want to be a therapist? What does it you want to do?

I would like to be a therapist. I would like to help single mom like myself.

So you want to have a specialty?

Yeah.

And how many more, how many years of college do you need?

For more years, I've been ducking math. So if I can get over math then I'm on my way.

Okay. And then subsequent to that you will need two to four years of graduate school where you will eventually intern and be under the care and protection and advice and direction and supervision of

licensed therapists. So do you get your license?

Okay.
