Hey, Dr. Laura. How's it going? Good. What's up?

I had a long distance relationship about two little over two years ago and she was from another state, but it's it would have been two days drive if I would have went to see her anything.

I've been out to see her. She went to see me. I mean, I kind of knew her parents or parents knew me and we I mean, it was pretty open and a body. Let's see. This would be three months ago. No, for anyways, not too long ago. She moved houses and we got a new church and new house and everything.

And after that, something changed in our relationship and I noticed it was more like we were really close friends, not boyfriend girlfriend. I said, something's not right. And I didn't want to bother about it. But I tried to ask her, is this something different? I mean, if you, I mean, is something wrong and are you sick and I couldn't figure anything.

And she told me about a month, no, it's just this would this be two months, months ago, she has her two months ago, she said, hey, I'm going to my mom doesn't think we're going to go well together, but I still want to be good friends with you. So call me after let's go on break for one month. And I thought, no, I'm not going to play this game.

And she goes, no, no, please just call me after one month and give me time. It's okay. I guess I'll play the game. See where it goes. And after a month, she wouldn't return my calls and anything about it. I kind of knew it. And then she finally sent me a text back and kind of nastily told me we were over and I'm like, well, I kind of figured that out.

What's trying to cope with it and everything and I thought I got me over it. And the week ago, she sent my sister a picture and she's gotten married, which nothing wrong with that. I mean, I'm happy for them and everything, but I'm worried more concerned for me now.

I've, I know it's not right to think these thoughts, but I've, I've got these thoughts like, I don't want to be a girl again. I don't want to see anyone again.

Okay, I make a few points in here. Go ahead, please. Good. How old are you? I'm 19. How old is she? She was 20, two years old and I was. You never dated her.

You guys had a little fantasy, not that mature situation going on with a few states in between with conversation, texting, whatever the hell else you did. That's not a real relationship.

To say, I'm never going to date again. How about you never date again like that? How about the next time you date, you actually are eyeballed to eyeball and go through experiences together with families and situations and help each other through rough patches. That's dating.

This was not, this was teenage land. Come on. I was a teenager. I remember all this kind of thinking.

So for you to take it this far is understandable, but silly.

You're only a teenager and you weren't dating. You're not ready to be married. You're not ready to take care of a family and be a father. Add romantic notions and it was fun.

So don't give it more power than that.

Come on, the hell out of this pandemic. You're going to date a few other females, actual dates, actual knowing each other. Actually driving her to the doctor when she breaks her foot, waiting for her.

Actually her taking care of you when you flunk a course and have to take it again and feeling sad and she's supportive.

Life, when you go through life together for the seasons twice, two years, that's dating.
