| 0:26.0 | I'm leaving my job because my friend got the promotion I've always wanted. |
| 0:28.6 | I didn't get the role that I wanted, so I'm quitting the play. When I was talking to my manager about this job, I told him that I have an ambition and wanted to leave my previous position because I was working as good as a manager, |
| 0:38.9 | but not being paid or recognized for it. |
| 0:42.5 | He said that this role would be restructured when people leave or retire this year, |
| 0:48.1 | and basically, as he remembers how good a worker I was, |
| 0:51.4 | I'd be definitely in consideration for a senior or managerial role. So I've been |
| 0:57.7 | there eight months, passed my probation, and done really well. I have a colleague from my last place, |
| 1:03.9 | 36 female, who I've worked with for the last two years, and we're actually good friends too. |
| 1:10.0 | I also know her husband really well from back |
| 1:12.1 | in the day. I actually approached her for the job and put in a good word for her because she's |
| 1:17.2 | brilliant at her job. Very quick learner and really proficient. And truth be told, she's been doing |
| 1:23.4 | really well since she started in May. I've also been training her. The irony is that I left |
| 1:28.6 | my last place because they refused to promote anyone, but as soon as I left, they promoted her and gave |
| 1:34.6 | her a pay raise to try and keep her. I had last week off on annual leave, and when I came back this |
| 1:40.7 | week, my manager took me aside for a meeting on Monday. He told me he wanted me to know |
| 1:45.5 | before anyone else that the restructure is now happening and they're creating a supervisor role. |
| 1:50.9 | And my colleague is the one who's been offered the job. He knew I was gutted about it and I asked |
| 1:56.5 | him why her. He said basically as good as I am, he thinks she would be better as a manager, |
| 2:04.1 | and as more qualities that suit it, and also as she's technically been a senior in her last role, |
| 2:09.7 | it looks better to hire ups. I said I wasn't happy and that I want to be a manager one day. |
| 2:15.6 | He said that I'm an amazing employee, |
