A Washington school has been cleared of, quote, racial intent after a parent complained

that her teen twin daughters were harmed by a history lesson that included students learning

how to use a cotton gin, calling it insensitive. I realize that we are in this new era where

words come with trigger warnings, but this new standard of woke sensitivity is going to do more

harm in our children than good. America does not use slave labor to pick cotton. The mere notion of it in an historical

school lesson is not the wound. It is the salve. We can't pretend these things didn't exist just because a

group of historically disconnected malcontents can't tell the difference between a history lesson

and racism. We will be dooming ourselves to perpetual ignorance
