1:02.0 | And I was, I wasn't being purposely evasive about what was going on, but I shared on Instagram just today. |
1:11.0 | Today is Tuesday, the 22nd. So this is obviously being recorded a little bit ahead of time. |
1:19.0 | But basically, I'm going through a breakup and it's super hard. Craig and I were almost together for three years. |
1:29.0 | It'll be, it would have been three years in February. |
1:32.0 | And yeah, a couple weeks ago, he kind of just told me that he didn't really feel like he could fully ask for things for himself and fully be himself, which, you know, I don't think is really true. |
1:48.0 | But the thing about relationships is it doesn't really matter what the other person thinks. |
1:54.0 | If you believe that in your relationship, you have to kind of base your actions on what you believe. |
2:02.0 | And that's one thing I've learned a lot about in the last couple weeks of just like morning engraving is that you really can't change someone else's mind. |
2:13.0 | But they have to have their lived experience. And just because their lived experience isn't congruent. |
2:22.0 | Wow, wow. He has broken my heart and taken my voice. No, I'm kidding. Just because their experience isn't congruent with your reality doesn't mean that it's not their experience. |
2:39.0 | And so I wanted to just kind of tell you guys what was going on because I've given you a lot of advice over the years. |
2:47.0 | And just wanted to like share some amazing parts of this breakup, because I know breakups are their trash. They are really trash. |
2:59.0 | But there, there has actually been like so much good that has come out of this breakup for myself. And I'd love to talk about some of those things as well as kind of the hard parts of it. But one of the things is is that |
3:15.0 | from the moment it was kind of going down and breaking down, I was so cared for by my friends. I basically got passed along friend to friend, like a breakfast with this person, a lunch with this person, a dinner with this person, someone just offering to come over and sit on my couch and listen to or watch real housewives or something dumb. |
3:41.0 | I had friends that offered me their homes for Thanksgiving. It was just like this beautiful experience of kind of being both physically and like virtually through my, you know, Instagram, fam, being like passed along in this incredibly beautiful way. |
4:04.0 | And I've never experienced really anything like it to be safe around people and to have this army of people flood in and tell tell you how much you're loved and tell you how worthy you are of love and affection and to just listen was so incredibly healing for me. |
